Only available to active Story Box Library subscribers, our new Resources section will provide educators, library staff, organisations and families with supporting resources, making it easier to find and access the appropriate learning resources.

The new page will host all our educational resources including Classroom Ideas, Activity Time, Units of Work and Story Response Templates, in a helpful new format. Professional Development events and promotional materials will also be available.

A more advanced filter function is also featured, which helps educators to identify story resources that model and explore certain themes and language features.

With the addition of more advanced filters, educators can now identify resources that explore specific:

  • Categories and topics (e.g. world history, climate change, wellbeing, engineering, animals)

  • Language features (e.g. alliteration, repetition, verbs, synonyms, imagery)

  • Writing tasks (e.g. persuasive, descriptive, poetic, recount)

  • Learning areas (e.g. Math, The Arts, Humanities)

  • Activity types for early learning centers and families (e.g. craft, music, nature/outdoor, play) 

Find story and response tools to:

  • model the use of similes and metaphors

  • use as a stimulus for a persuasive writing activity

  • open up discussions about empathy

  • explore natural disasters

  • inspire experimental play

  • compare and contrast using venn diagrams
