My name is Kitiya Palaskas and I’m an Australian craft-based designer and author with a multi-disciplinary practice. 12 years ago, I founded Kitiya Palaskas Studio and we’ve been crafting for global brands ever since. We specialise in prop and installation design, content creation, illustration, and creative workshop facilitation, focusing on using handmade techniques and traditional craft methods re-imagined in contemporary ways.
Our work is characterised by its bold colours and playful themes and has spanned the retail, music, advertising and publishing industries. I am also the author of Piñata Party, a craft book published by Hardie Grant and available in Australia, the UK and the USA.
I’m passionate about skill-sharing, advocating for more open dialogue around wellbeing issues for creatives, and forever hyping handmade culture, especially in this digital world we now live in.
