About the Story

Are you brave enough to jump in at the deep end?

Poor Becky isn’t looking forward to moving up the next swimming level – not if it means she has to swim in the deep end of the pool.
Reader Melissa Bergland remembers those feelings and what it means to face your fears. Illustrations by Mitch Vane work brilliantly with words by author Ursula Dubosarsky – and Becky’s mixed feelings about what it means to grow up are something many of us can understand.
