As part of the subscription, families have access to activity ideas for each story segment (presented as a printable PDF for alongside story). The ideas aim to engage children with the themes and characters in the stories.
In the home environment, supervision and safety is the responsibility of parents, with play or art-based focus making the activities fun and enjoyable for children.
The activities are quite general. This provides scope to adapt the activity to suit children of a variety of ages and abilities and it also allows children to complete activities independently – giving them confidence to use the Story Box Library site to its optimum potential. Pre-schoolers and children in the early primary years may need some guidance, especially with understanding and setting up the activity.
Whether for pure entertainment, or education, there is something for everyone at Story Box Library.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look around.
