About the Story

Turtle is very shy and lives alone in her treehouse. She spends her days gardening and making things. One day a storm hits and brings a hoard of unexpected visitors asking for help. Will it all be too much for Turtle?

Too Much for Turtle is a charmingly sweet story about friendship, community and overcoming shyness from creative duo Cat Rabbit and Isobel Knowles. In addition to the gentle, fun and chaotic story about reclusive Turtle and her neighbours, children will delight in the visual feast of the hand-crafted images. Each scene was created entirely from materials such as felt, paper, cardboard and wire and the detailed felted characters are simply wonderful.

Storyteller Darren Hanlon does a gorgeously funny reading from his treetop perch!
