About the Story

Angus and Lucy love books. They have hundreds of them. But when the books are taken away, Angus and Lucy’s family soon discover they cannot live without them.

The Children Who Loved Books is a warm and moving celebration of books and the way in which they bring us all together, written, illustrated and read by the enormously talented Peter Carnavas

This simple, yet charming and wonderful story, has two clear messages. Firstly, that families don't need material things to be happy and secondly, sharing stories and books brings people together in a very special way. The illustrations are delightfully bright and whimsical and add a subtle humour to this gorgeous story.

In the end the family discover the perfect place to find the books they so love - in their local library!
