About the Story

One quiet morning a small boy landed on the page...

Why am I here? is the question the boy ponders in this wonderfully sensitive, thoughtful and beautiful story.

We follow the boy through his everyday activities and experiences, which are brought to life by Peter Carnavas' deceptively simple words and whimsical illustrations.

From rolling down a hill to paddling a canoe, from falling in love to building a house, we are reminded that we achieve a lot during a lifetime and make a difference to all the people and things in our world.

Fiona Harris' lovely reading of this precious story will be enjoyed by viewers of all ages, and the underlying message that we are in this world to love and be loved is divine.
