About the Story

Angela Throgmorton lives alone and likes it that way. One day she finds an unusual bundle on her doorstep - Old Tom has arrived. Her life will never be the same. And nor will yours!

Meet Old Tom, one of the cheekiest characters we know. Author/illustrator Leigh Hobbs clearly had a great deal of fun creating this lovable rogue whose outrageously bad behaviour is guaranteed to have you laughing out loud.

Old Tom's honest but ill-fated antics and attempts to be good are extremely funny... combined with delightfully simple illustrations that often say more than the text, this is Leigh Hobbs at his best.

Storyteller Alan Brough injects his uniquely hilarious style into this wonderful reading. Enjoy!
