About the Story

I’m afraid of the water . . . but Grandpa loves it, and he’s teaching me to swim. Maybe if I can swim, I’ll have adventures like him one day . . .

Grandpa's Big Adventure is a celebration of the bond between grandparents and grandchildren and also highlights the importance of learning to swim. Paul Newman's charming story wonderfully captures the joy children experience when being told a tall tale... the wilder and crazier the better! Tom Jellett's illustrations are hilariously funny, and will have children enthralled as much as the captivating story.

Told by comedian Dave O' Neil in his uniquely funny style, this story helps to alleviate childhood fears and inspires a love of adventure.
