About the Story

The first day of school is always an exciting one, and Fiona the Pig is VERY excited indeed!

School is a busy and fun place where Fiona listens to stories, plays dress-ups and even performs an original ballet for her new teacher and friends.  Unfortunately, Mr and Mrs Pig aren’t quite as happy.  In fact, they are terribly, terribly sad!  Both of them are doing their best to be brave but Fiona’s parents don’t know how they will possibly cope without their beloved daughter.  Singer Clare Bowditch reads us this funny and heartwarming story from talented author and illustrator, Leigh Hobbs…and wonders if you enjoyed your first day at school as much as Fiona did?
