Keep kids inspired with diverse stories and creative activities over the summer with Story Box Library’s Summer Holiday Story and Activity Challenge.

Designed to support the summer reading programs and book clubs already offered by public libraries, we connect families with a world of stories by extending your library’s collection anywhere there’s an internet connection - including the back garden, local park or even a beach tent - and also encouraging them to visit their library and connect with their communities.

By participating in the challenge families will be able to list the stories watched and see how many of our fun Activity Time projects that can be completed, ticking them along the way. Readers can then challenge themselves further by borrowing the books from the library and inserting a bookmark review for the next borrower to find.

Click here to download our free printable SBL Summer Story and Activity Time resources, which includes a story and activity log sheet, fridge card for login credentials and fill-in bookmarks.

Participate in our Summer Story and Activity Challenge:

  1. Log in to storyboxlibrary.com.au/libraries.

  2. Go to the Stories page to find the stories you wish to watch. Use the stories filter to make selecting easier. Find each story’s Activity Time under the Activities tab of the story.

  1. Borrow the book from the library and include one of our bookmark reviews when you return it. Even write a comment about the Activity Time you completed, if you like.
