Summary of event
In our first ever online PD event for public libraries, Story Box Library (SBL) focused on familiarising public librarians with our various features and functions.
Presenters discussed and offered insights into ways in which SBL can be used as a digital resource to engage families and young readers, complementing and enhancing existing programs, connecting library communities far and wide.
Online PD event details:
When: 6pm AEST, Tuesday 4 May
Duration: 1.5 hours, including 30-minute Q&A
In our online PD, our presenters will be covering the following:
- Account settings
- Closed captions & accessibility features
- Helpful resources
- Search functionality
- Technical features and advancements
- Staying informed
Following the event, all registrants will be sent a recorded video of the session. For any librarians unable to make it, registration still guarantees the recording will be sent to you the following day.
Join our supportive librarian network
Facilitating ongoing engagement for libraries, SBL have established a Librarian Resource Centre Facebook Group in which we will aim to share tips, tools and information about our resource to help you and your library community.
This forum is also an opportunity for you to tell us what you’d like to hear more about or ways in which we can help our librarians and their community further. We encourage you and your colleagues to join the group here.
